This collaboration with photographer, May Truong, is an ode to the spirit of the bad-ass Pau Pau. Part of a bigger personal project, The Pau Pau Project, that explores the lives and stories of our Chinese-Canadian grandmas and how they have influenced our upbringing.
*Pau Pau: meaning mother's mother in Chinese — ours, typically found wearing floral polyester button ups and slippers, and either cooking, playing mahjong, or watching a Chinese drama — sometimes all three at the same time.
